Why are my headlight wire overheating at the switch on my 1989 Ford Mustang GT? I had to replace the old head light switch wiring harness, but copied all wires correctly. However now, when I turn on the headlights, the lead wire for the park lights and the lead wire for the head lights heat up so much they begin to smoke if I don’t turn them off. Any Ideas?

The short will be between your wiring harness through the short you need to try to try to isolate.
