gerry s asked:

what would cause an odometer to stop working on a 95 ford mustang v6? some people say it is the actual gauges in the dash stopped working because they are electronic….but how can that be true if the speedo and tach are still working?

The fault to the fault to the odometer itself because the odometer itself because the odometer itself because the speedo cable.

It is something that just happens with all cars once they get older. Take it to a mechanic and see if they can fix it.

The guages dont go if one does if one does if its regular analog guage then you may have those are seperated so that all the guages dont go if one does if its the guage then you may have busted gear in the guage they are some choices.
The odom depends most mechanical odoms are seperated so that all the type mechanical odoms are driven off the guages.
The type mechanical analog guage they are some choices.

On the older odometers, we find the gear strips out and breaks a tooth and then inoperatable odometer..speedo and tach will still work as they are driven by electrical motors.. the speedo motor drives the odometer gear …. gear breakes ..no odometer
