What is the maximum rim diameter that I can put on a Ford Mustang GT?

I drive a 2009 Ford Mustang GT. I’m looking to get rims for it. However, I know nothing about rims, no idea where I would even procure them, let alone how big I can go. Anyone shed some light on this for me?

Well, i would suggest going to a place that sells rims, like where i live there are places like les schwab, discount tire, big o tires, and ask them, but I would assume about a 20″. Largest i would go would be a 17-18″. I’m gonna be putting some rims on a car within a year, and i’m going to put about a 16-18″ rim on. Suggestion on the rim width: go slightly wider on the width (rear only), to get a little better traction, if you plan to mod it. Personally, the mustangs i’ve seen where i live generally seem to go about a 18″ rim. personally i think they look good.
