It is a 1997 ford mustang coupe…I removed the old head unit because i wanted to install a new pioneer 50×4 watt mosfet cd player…but i need a diagram or wiring scheme for the ford mustang because i cannot figure out which wire is for what…my ford mustang only has front speakers as do all the others of the same type…I need to know which collor goes to what, i already have figured out what all the colors on my new headunit are for, now i just need to know what all the different collors in the ford mustang mean so i can connect the correct wires.

go to wal-mart and get an aftermarket radio plug for your vehicle, no cutting, no crimping, no soldering, just plug one side into the factory plug and the other into your new radio, simple as pie, and if you sell your car you can replace your old radio in the car with no hassle. Best ten or twelve buck you will spend.

I made the mistake of trying to rewire everything on my old trucks radio. It’s really not a fun expeirence. Just got to Best Buy or Walmart or any car audio place and get a wireing harness. All it does is plug in where the wires were connected on the old reciever and bam! easy as that!
