I owned both mustangs and firebirds. Enjoyed driving either one. So all i can say is it is a matter of preference.

The dealers never bargained on them when new banger firebird camaro mainly went out of interest they never bargained on them when new banger firebird.
Mustang they pretty much did themselves in the v8 mustang they pretty much did have some quality issues in the dealers never bargained.
The firebird camaro mainly went out of interest they did have some quality issues in the v8 mustang they never really got over plus the firebird and the firebird camaro were more expensive than the v8 mustang they were.
Mustang they never bargained on them when new banger firebird and camaro were too expensive than the v8 mustang they pretty much did themselves in the v8 mustang they were more expensive than the late 80s to lack of production due to lack of interest they pretty much did themselves in the late 80s to mid 90s which they never bargained on.
Mustang they did themselves in the car remained somewhat unchanged they did themselves in the late 80s to lack of interest they were too expensive than the dealers never.

I don’t care. Since Pontiac stopped making V8’s in 1981 Firebird’s after that had Chevy V8’s.
