Late 80’s early 90’s came with the big 5.0 - 302 motor. The newer one are much weaker.
Want to learn about mustangs?
Ever saw a convertible pull a 5′ tall wheelie from a dead stop?
Only with a 5.0 motor
Enjoy………

I bought my 05 mustang GT brand new (in 05) for way more than that, so the price has already gone down….

Yes the price will go down. If you wait 2 years you will be able to pick one up for around $15,000 I imagine. One thing to consider though, is that sometimes it is better to spend an extra couple of thousand of dollars to get a car with less miles on it because that way you know how the car is being taken care of and treated. For instance, if you wait a couple of years and pick one up with 50k miles, you have no idea how the car was really treated for those 50k miles. If you buy one today with 20k miles, even if it was abused for 20k miles, that is not too bad as where abusing a car for 50k miles can do some permanent damage. Just a thought.

The price always goes down over time, unless you are talking about a car that is rare where the known number of cars is decreasing over time. A 2005 Mustang GT is not a rare car. I would guess in a couple of years you could pick one up around $13K to $16K, depending upon condition of the car.
