If your buying anything pre-1980 than it is worth it but if your alternative is a mazda or volvo… Don’t ever ask that question again cuz you just lost alot of creditability with mustang drivers. They aren’t really comparable. the mustang is a cheaply manufactured car nowadays with exception of the 5 L’s and the saleen addition but it will never stoop as low as a mazda!!!

Get The Volvo.
Just saying Volvo, shows your a wise thinker.
Volvo is a better choice.
Volvo has better resale value also.
Is that your Volvo?
Why yes, … yes it is, Shall we ride in my Volvo?
Is that your Volvo? Or are you just glad to see me.
“The Count says “Velcome to my Volvo.
Ummm…say old boy, your girlfriend has a nice Volvo….
.hey….knock that off….you wanna smack?
On second thought get the Mustang.

The year of manufacture is needed to properly answer this question. But, in the modern era, after 1998, the Mustang became a pretty good, reliable car.

the mustangs an ok car but when it gets some miles on it you will have to invest some money into it. it also depends on the engine and how you maintain and drive it. if you have the money to get a volvo get one it will be the longest lasting car you will ever own. and do follow maintenance on it and you can acheive over 400,000 miles easily. i have seen alot of them with more than that on them with nothing really done but proper maintenance. and no they are not the same brand volvo makes volvo ford just owns part of it just like gm has stock in volvo. ford just owns a little more than gm does but gm dealerships are the ones that sell them. mazdas are not a bad car neither. they all have good qualitys but volvo is the safest and most reliable to operate but they can be expensive to perform their scheduled maintenace so basically all you can do is look at the whole picture to find what is going to bring you the best value in the long run. if you go with volvo you won’t have to buy another car for at least 15 years and you will easily resell it fast when your done with it as a mustang you will have to replace within ten years and will have a harder time selling for they lose value quickly and a mazda it all depends on the model but most of them you can get ten good years out of them if it is maintained properly and will resell fairly.

The most recent Mustang is far superior to the last version which was long overdue for a redesign (performance wise). These cars are well made and the design of the interior plastics (although not as nice as Honda) are equal to Toyota and surpass Nissan and Mitshibishi. My Mazda has many Ford parts in it, it runs beautiful, it is 6 years old and everything has held up like new, I think between those three the quality is equal, the volvo will likely be more complex, I don’t believe the mustang is junk at all, it has received excellent reviews from the New York Times and Road and Track

depending on what year and model the mustang is a good choice. if you want something that will resale i would go with a classic, anything under 1970. however they are not cheap but they are reliable. I used to own an 87 gt and i loved it but gas is pricey however if this is not an issue for you I would check out the new 06′ but be sure to get the gt nothin worse than buying a new stang and have no power and if its a stick so much the better. come on its a mustang. as for the volvo, they are reliable and an ok choice if you have a large family and need the room……..yada yada yada. Its a mustang!
