PLEASE do not get a v6 if you are a true mustang fan you would slap your self in the face for even thinking about a v6. if you want a mustang YOU GET A V8 end of story.

around 210 hp. the one i drove ran really good for a v 6 . it had an auto tranny. the 5 speeds of coarse are a bit faster. people are making aftermarket performance parts for the 4.0 now. some one told me that new for 08 is the 3.8 suppose to make around 230 hp or so.but the 4.0 is a strong engine, i have had two of them a 1996 and 2005.had over 150000.00 miles on the 96 and still running good.

Depends on what you what to do. The v6 has plenty of power to get to the next red light and can cruise the freeways nicely.
If you’re a lead foot, buy the V6 and save on tickets.
If you’re not, you don’t need the V8 anyway.
