Ford Mustang??
By admin | December 5, 2007
I am intrigued by the Ford mustang ever since seeing one at a classic car show last month. I think it was a late 60’s model (none of that modern crap) in shining black, and, for an American car, was gorgeous (not that American cars are ugly, but from a UK perspective they are often highly impractical).
I was wondering what the status of this car is in the US- do people look at them and go ‘oh, a 40 year old Ford,’, or do they have a certain ‘wow’ factor like they do in the UK?
PS, A friend of a friend owns one, it’s a Mustang Boss (…), but I can’t remember the three numbers that follow- supposedly it is very rare- any ideas?
Thanks!
Yeah 429 sounds right! Any info (on stature as opposed to performance figures!) thanks!

Mustangs are considered one of the ultimate muscle cars in America. I think most people who care about cars can appreciate the Mustang. It definitely has a “wow” factor, if it is in good condition and the owners have restored it to it’s original condition.

the only thing i know about classic 60s ford mustangs is:
YOU WILL BE IN LUCK WITH THE LADIES because its a known fact that girls get turned on while sitting in the front seat.
NO OTHER CAR HAS THIS POWER

I think all Mustangs are cool. My mom and dad got their first mustang, a orange 1964 1/2, right before I was born in 1965. We’ve pretty much had ‘Stangs ever since. My favorite are the ‘69 fastbacks but I have never owned one, But I still want one. My favorite ‘Stang I owned was a blown 1991 5.0 GT hatchback. It had 400 hp and was really quick. I have since sold it but we currently own a black 2003 GT convertable. Still a pretty fast car even though its stock. The Mustang Boss’ where a boss 302, 351 or 429, all enginge sizes.

For the most part the classic Mustang’s are pretty poorly put together, well at least compared to the modern Mustangs. I love the latest bodystyle.
