Ford surprised the whole world when it unveiled Ford Mustang to the public almost 45 years ago. The auspicious venue chosen was the New York World’s Fair on April 17, 1964. It sales records are a witness to the fact that it was the one of the most well designed car in the whole world. The first version had 14 inch standard wheels. They were made of hard plastic with charcoal black indented area. The third generation of Mustang rolled out in the year 1979. This new model was stripped of all the frills and had minimal design. The wheels were simple with a plain black center cap and a three spoke black wheels. The sales dropped to alarming levels and became a major cause of worry for the management. They worked out a strategy work plan to counter the situation. The result was a completely redesigned Ford Mustang-a sleek and smart model with a sporty look. Buyers were given a wide array of choice with the optional wheels. The bright Mustang log was placed in the center of silver plastic hubcaps.
