2000 Ford Mustang Vs 2003 Honda Civic?
I found two cars that im interested in. Both are around $10,000
2003 HONDA CIVIC 2 DOOR LX - 85,310 km - $9,999.00 - 1.7L, 4 cyl
2000 FORD MUSTANG GT SPECIAL - 97,345 km -$10,550.00
4.6L, 8 cyl.
Im in limbo about these two cars. The Mustang says “BALLS”, while The Civic says “i’ll probably last longer”.
3 times a week, i’ll probably be traveling 20 miles to work in the morning and back again. So about 40 miles a day.
I love cars that just say “Balls”, and Civics say “Their Trying To Drop”. I love the mustang for its power and its sexy look. I like the Civic because it will probably be cheaper on gas, doesnt look so bad.I can’t say any more, One of these cars will have to last me about 1 1/2-2 years… forgot to mention i will probably drive the **** out of both of these cars.
I Need more reasons and opinions about these Cars. If you had to choose between these two which ones would you go for?
And both of them are under warrenty

Mustang all day. The Civic doesn’t stand a chance. I would say that they will both launch good, but when the Mustang shifts into third, kiss it goodbye.

Now this is just me, I am a muscle car guy all the way, however as you get older you start to find practicality in everything. The Honda will be better on insurance. It’s cheaper to maintain then the Mustang, and it will hold its resale value better then the Mustang. So in all practicality I would go with the Honda.

for 10G’s i’d get something with alittle more value. you can find a civic with less miles for the same price. check out autotrader.com. i wouldnt get the mustang if i we just going to drive the shit out of it. at 100,000 miles is where all your problems will start.

Don’t be to sure that the 4.6L Ford wont last. I’ve seen the 4.6L pust out over 750 000km. Is the same engine used in the Crown Victoria’s/Grand Marquies/Town Cars that are so commonly used as fleet vehicles. I have a Friend with the 4.6L with 330 000km on it, he got hit in the right rear and messed up the frame of his Crown Vic so teh car is a write off, but the engine still runs like new. At about 280 000km - 300 000km is when he had to start repairing it. These are a powerful engine and a long lasting durable engine. The biggest thing I would be looking at would be the Transmission. The automatic aod, and aode transmission Ford used had a few problmes but wern’t that bad overall. My buddy has got 330 000km out of his so far but hes been maticulas about maintance. If you maintain both they will last equally as long. The question here isn’t ” do I want balls or do I was a “probably last longer”" vehicle, but “do I want power, or fuel econmy?” thats the only thing the Civic has over the mustang. 4.6L are bulletproof, they will stand up to anything, and are very reliable.
